For man finishing
If you used straight needles than, cut the yarn, leaving a long tail, and pull through remaining st, securing in first loop,Use the remaining tail to join the sides together, Weave in any remaining end.
If you used double pointed needles leaving a long tail, string though remaining st, securing in first loop and weave in any remaining end. If you used circular needles than do as directed for double pointed needles.
For woman finishing
If you used straight needles than, cut the yarn, leaving a long tail, and pull through remaining st, securing in first loop, Use the remaining tail to join the sides together, the last 10 st join the sides on the good working area as the hat will be folded and don’t want to see the join, Weave in any remaining end.

If you used double pointed needles leaving a long tail, string though remaining st, securing in first loop and weave in any remaining end. If you used circular needles than do as directed for double pointed needles.
This is how it looks finished for woman
This is how it looks finished for men, it will be straight just when making the pic my kid moved me lol

I have finished another hat on straight needles and will post soon
